Project: Egg Chair

This chair has been fully reupholstered using modern materials, tools and methods. The internal body of the chair is made from fibreglass with a plywood base. The body has been covered in pieces of shaped foam sheeting. The outer covering fabric has been tailored to fit the shape of the chair exactly and the “float” buttoning pulls it tight to the concave back. The seat cushion has also been made out of foam with a tailored cover.
